Chambres d’Hôtes & Gites
A stunning 19th-century French manor house tucked away within the beautiful Creuse department of France, offering bed & breakfast, evening meals & self-catering cottages.
All year-round, Chez Jallot offers its guests the opportunity to relax in luxury and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the wonderful surroundings. There is a choice of 5 bedrooms within the house, offering bed & breakfast (chambres d’hôtes) and optional evening meals (tables d’hôtes) or for those wanting a little more independence there are 2 self-catering cottages (gites) in the adjoining barn.
A house with history! Built by a French master mason in the 1870s, used by the Resistance in World War 2, destroyed by fire & left to decay after the war, then restored to what it is today (as seen on Channel 4’s Grand Designs TV show), a grand building and large garden with sunken courtyard, a forest and even a secret tunnel just outside the front door, all hidden away in the beautiful Creuse countryside.
There is much to explore within easy reach of Chez Jallot and its surrounding areas. Participate in local events & festivals, visit historic places such as Bourganeuf, Moutier d’Ahun and Aubusson, stroll through markets & brocantes in search of antiquity, tasty local produce or a bargain or two and for the more energetic of you, activities such as mountain biking, walking & sailing are all close by in places like the Monts de Guéret and the Lac de Vassivière.
